Hi, Farmer Dean here today, and we’re going to do the poor man’s or frugal man’s pot gardening. So what I’ve done is I bought a bushel basket. I put some sand in there to make it for heavyweight, and we’re going to plant a tomato plant. So I’m going to put in my cage right now. Okay, so my cage is in there. I’m going to fill it up with dirt. This is compost. That’s what you want: compost and manure.
I’m going to dig a hole. I had to go get a tomato plant because mine aren’t big enough yet, and I wanted some early tomatoes. So we don’t want to waste all this dirt, so I bought some onion sets, and I’m going to plant them all the way around because the onions are going to come up and be gone before the tomato plant gets big and interferes with its growth. I’m also going to plant a few radish seeds in here. Just sprinkle them around like that.

Onions
Radishes
A tomato.
