I Had the Honor and Privilege of Competing in @mattsOffRoadGames for the Second Year in a Row

This past weekend marked something truly special for me—a return to one of the most exhilarating and unforgettable events of the year: @mattsOffRoadGames. For the second year in a row, I had the honor and privilege of competing alongside some of the most skilled, passionate, and downright fun-loving off-roaders out there. It was three full days of sunshine, competition, camaraderie, and memories I’ll cherish for a lifetime.

From the moment we rolled onto the course, the energy was electric. The roar of engines, the smell of dirt and rubber, and the sight of tricked-out rigs tackling every imaginable obstacle—it was a dream come true for any off-road enthusiast. But more than the adrenaline and horsepower, what truly made the event shine was the people.

There’s something about this community that sets it apart. Whether it was a high-five after a challenging run, a shared laugh during a pit stop, or lending a hand with a broken part, the sense of connection was constant. Everyone showed up not just to compete, but to support and celebrate one another. That’s the magic of @mattsOffRoadGames—it’s not just a competition, it’s a gathering of friends, new and old, who all speak the same rugged language of mud, grit, and determination.

This year’s events were even more intense than last. From technical crawls to high-speed sprints, every event tested our rigs and our nerves. I pushed harder, climbed higher, and learned more than I did the year before. It wasn’t just about beating the course—it was about growing as a driver, improving my machine, and respecting the challenge. And every scraped knuckle and muddy boot was totally worth it.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the incredible team behind the scenes. A huge thank you to Matt, the organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and support crews who put their time and energy into making this event such a success. It takes a small army to pull off something this big, and every detail—from safety to scheduling—was spot on. You made it possible for us to do what we love in the best way possible.

As I load up the trailer and get ready to head back home, there’s a mix of gratitude and excitement in my heart. I’m thankful for the opportunity to be part of this off-road family and for the memories we made under the wide, blue sky. But now, it’s time to switch gears—literally and figuratively.

Back at the farm, there’s tractor work waiting for me. Fences need mending, fields need tending, and the daily rhythm of country life calls once again. While the terrain might be a little more predictable and the machinery a bit less extreme, the satisfaction of hard work and getting your hands dirty stays the same.

To everyone who shared this journey with me—thank you. Here’s to roaring engines, dusty boots, good friends, and the quiet peace of a job well done. Until next year, @mattsOffRoadGames. Now, let’s get back to the farm and do some tractor work.
