A Quick and Easy Pie Crust

Farmer Dean here and I’m going to show you my butter hack that I use when I make my homemade crust. Take your butter, you freeze it, put it on and shred it, put it into my flour. There we are. It’s all ready to go. So I tell everybody, my crust will float out the window. I actually have to put a brick on it to keep it from floating down.

Here’s my secret: ice cold vodka. I’ve got ice cubes in it and then I just put everything in except the ice cubes of course. And then Gordon Ramsay taught me this. I used to use a fork to do this. But now I just use my hands because if it’s good enough for Gordon Ramsay, it’s good enough for me.

If you find out you don’t have enough moisture, then you have to put a little more moisture with it. If you find out you have too much, then guess what? You’ve got to put a little flour with it.

I’m going to roll this out. You always roll from the middle to the outside. That way you’ll get a nice even crust. So all you do is just flip this up on your roller and just kind of slip it right in there.

So what I’m going to do with this, I’m going to make a chocolate pie and homemade chocolate by the way. So I’m going to cook this first for about 10 minutes at 450. And I’ll show you what it looks like when I’m done.

I forgot to tell you it makes two crusts if you’re not doing a crust on top. So I have two different pies. This one’s going in. Of course this one’s done. Look at how pretty the color is. Look at how light and fluffy that is. OMG. This is that good.
