Farmer Dean here, and I wanted to tell you about a fake food alert. This is asparagus. This is seconds. 80% of what I grow looks like this. So when you’re in the store and you see this small stuff, that’s what the seconds are. And you can see by looking what the size of all of my asparagus is.
So let me tell you, buy local asparagus whenever you can. You’re going to get asparagus that looks like this and not like this. And no, this is not sweeter than this. These are really sweet and beautiful. OMG’s, I’ve got a great crop of asparagus this year.
